What licenses do the base models have, and what does Legal review?
Llama 3.3 is used under Meta’s community license: a copy of the license, “Built with Llama” attribution, a technical name that includes “Llama” and the acceptable use policy. Qwen3 and Mistral 3 are under Apache 2.0; earlier versions have research licenses, so each version is reviewed. The commercial seal, Dabar, is separate.
Training data is generated through a single route: open models on masked data plus examples written by experts; never with outputs from commercial models, whose terms restrict training competing models. The model card for each version records the base model and its license.
